With the increase of budget smartphones, especially ones like
Xiaomi,Oppo,Lenovo etc., Nowadays every other hand in India has a smartphone in
there pockets. Well, people today rely heavily on there smartphones, with
country busy with stuffs like digital India, demonetization and stuffs, a
normal person needs his phone almost all the time like for
directions,chatting,photography etc.
So smartphones companies are trying to put as big battery as
they can in budget to ensure at least a day of battery without charge. Budget
smartphones do not come with technologies like fast charging or dash charging
as in flagship phones.
So here i will give you some tips and tricks that you can
use to ensure lesser battery drain. This post will have two parts.
1. For users with non-rooted phone.(google "rooted android" for better understanding)
2. For users with rooted phone.(This i`ll cover in another blog.)
For non-rooted phones
Keeping things short and simple, lets directly jump to different methods to minimize the battery drain.
1. Do not use apps for cleaning rams or making phones faster or other battery saving apps.
-Using apps like Clean Master, DU Battery Saver etc is actually draining your phone battery instead of saving it in the name of making phones faster.
Explanation
is when your app is in RAM memory it can open up faster when you open
it next time. Repeatedly cleaning ram puts extra load on CPU when you
open an app, because if it is not in ram ,it will take cpu clock cycles
to open up.
Active apps
like Whatsapp, Facebook , Messenger should not be frequently killed
from ram memory, reason being they will soon open up in background taking
up cpu clock cycles. Extra cpu work means extra battery drain.
2. Keep screen brightness to minimum possible.
-Bigger
screens of smartphones takes up hell lot of battery when brightness
levels are higher than enough. Try to buy phones with OLED screens
because in these screens individual pixels can shutdown to show black
color.
3. Maintain better network strength.
-When mobile network strength is poor, phones tries to search for network with better strength,so takes up battery.
4. Use Greenify app.
-Although
its more powerful app when your phone is rooted, but its still provide
some functionalities in non-rooted phones. What it does is it hibernates
selected apps and prohibits them to open in background, you can still
open and use those apps.
5. Choose your apps wisely.
-Sometimes
apps are poorly coded and they unnecessarily takes up resources and
consume battery. Try to use those apps which gets regular bug
fixes,updates.
Try one or all of these for better experience. You won`t see drastic change in battery backup but trust me it`s worth a try.
